Biography

I graduated with honors from the University of Michigan with a BFA in Graphic Design. I am on the Advisory Board of the Open Studio Project whose art and writing process helped jumpstart my own art making. My work has been featured in juried and small group exhibits in the Chicago area.

 

Artist Statement

My art practice grew out of my career as a graphic designer. Manipulating images and text—the basics of design—has informed all of my art from collage and jewelry to encaustic and mixed media. This Elements series of paintings is a free-associative exploration of the science and nature of earth, fire and water
