Thank you for visiting the FUSEDChicago website. While our group is no longer active and has officially disbanded, we are deeply proud of what FUSEDChicago represented and accomplished. Nearly 20 years ago, Shelly Gilchrist’s vision brought FUSEDChicago to life, and through her leadership the group played an important role in increasing awareness of the encaustic art medium throughout Chicago and the surrounding communities.

We are sincerely grateful to the many artists who were part of FUSEDChicago over the years and who contributed their creativity, time, and passion. Although we no longer exist as a formal organization, the friendships we formed and the we made remain strong and meaningful, and they will stay with us always.

FUSEDChicago enjoyed a remarkable run, and for that shared experience, we are truly thankful.
